Bus registration for the 2024-25 school year closes on August 1st.

It's important to register before August 1st to ensure your child can ride the bus from the start of the school year. If registration is done after August 1st, your child will have to wait until August 19th to be eligible for bus transportation. This delay allows for necessary adjustments to routes, stop locations, and stop times, and ensures all families affected by these changes are notified.

For the 2024-25 school year, Sanger ISD will reduce the number of in-town bus routes, limiting service to students in grades K-5. According to the Texas Educational Agency, students in grades K-12 must live 2 or more miles from their assigned school to be eligible for regular education school bus transportation. The district is legally obligated to provide transportation for these students.

The reduction in in-town routes is due to an increase in students living outside the two-mile radius, driver shortages, and transportation challenges. Therefore, in-town routes will only be available for students in grades K-5, and there is limited availability. Seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The mission of the Sanger Independent School District is to create a learning community that engages, challenges, and inspires all students. We will educate our diverse population in an atmosphere that encourages academic, physical and creative achievement and promotes strong character.

In this spirit, the Transportation Service Center is dedicated to providing our students with the safest and most efficient ride possible. We recognize that this is an important service within the educational system. As members of the Transportation Service Center, we will conduct ourselves as professionals, dedicated to caring for the people we serve.
