Through the use of technology, Sanger Independent School District strengthens student learning and fosters creativity, collaboration, and communication beyond the classrooms.

Students will be engaged in a stimulating academic environment with challenging student-centered experiences that result in creative expression, global communication, and meaningful collaboration that will prepare them to excel in a technology-rich, global environment.

We accomplish this by supporting the shift of instructional practices of teachers to consistently and effectively integrate technology into their instructional practices.

We support staff with timely professional development that connects technology with learning, as well as provide ready access to a full range of state of the art tools.

It is the mission of Sanger ISD to create a learning community that engages, challenges, and inspires all students. To accomplish this, we are proud to support the Sanger ISD Digital Learning Initiative. This project issues a school-owned laptop computer or iPad to every student enrolled.

We hope that you share our excitement about being able to offer laptop computers and iPads as an instructional resource to our students.

Device Insurance
Classlink for Students

Device Insurance

We encourage students in grades 6-12 to purchase insurance. The district partners with a third party company to provide a group rate. The plan does not have a deductible and covers the device (not cases) from accidental damage, including liquid damage, power cord, and broken screens. If you do not have insurance and your device is not repairable, it could cost you $410 to replace an iPad or $699 to replace a MacBook. It costs students/parents $125 for an iPad broken screen and $200 for a MacBook broken screen the first time, with an increase on consecutive damage for all devices; the district offsets the cost of most damage until the third incident. Paying for insurance now is a cost-effective way of protecting your pocketbook.

Classlink for Students

Sanger Independent School District students and staff have begun using Classlink this year to access all the programs we use in one location. This alleviates the need to remember different usernames and passwords.

While some programs allow the students to log directly in, some do require them to put in their username and password one time, and the information is stored in a secure password locker. For example, Discovery Education allows you to log directly in, but for Student Portal, the student would need to put in their username and password. If your student runs into issues with these programs, please reach out to their teacher for support with the programs.

All students can use their Google account to sign into Classlink. This can be provided by your child's teacher, but the majority of accounts are first.lastname@indians.sangerisd.net with a password of Sisd and their ID number (ex: Sisd123456). Students in PK-2 have access to a Quickcard to help them sign in; your child's teacher can provide that for you.

Students only have access to programs that are available to their grade level. Your teachers can provide guidance on suggestions of work that can be done at home to support each student's learning goals.
