Parent-Teacher Organizations

2012-2013

Dear Sanger Parents:

Welcome to the 2012-2013 Sanger school year! We hope you have been having a great summer break and are getting excited about a new school year.  Effective this year, each campus in Sanger will have a SEPARATELY functioning PTO.

Some campuses have all PTO positions filled, but there are still openings at a few campuses.  Please see the campus website PTO link for information about a specific campus.  Each campus has the following elected officer positions:

 President
Treasurer
Special Events/Fundraising
Volunteer Coordinator
Secretary

While all officer positions are important, a campus MUST at least have a president and a treasurer to have an active PTO.  If you are interested in any PTO positions, please refer to the campus website for contact information.

May God bless you and your children this year!

General PTO Information

We support school academics and activities with fundraisers and volunteer services.  Volunteering is a great investment in your child’s education.  You can donate as little or as much time as you want and still make a huge difference.  Here are only a FEW of the endless volunteer opportunities:

Staff Appreciation Program -  Provides “themed appreciation events” (food for break room, stock the lounge, etc.) for the SISD staff at each campus on a quarterly basis.  Monetary support for this program is a huge way to volunteer if you don’t have time!

PTO Fundraisers – Major fundraiser held in fall.

NEW Spring Talent Show Fundraiser – Volunteer a little or a lot with this fun, new community-wide event.

Room Mom/Dad – Organizes class parties with help of other parents; assists teacher with special projects if needed.

Book Fairs – Age appropriate books available for sale to the students; coordinated assistance through school libraries; held in fall and spring.

Copying/laminating assistance – Help with copying/laminating needs of a school.

Field Day – Day of fun outside activities and games for the students on each campus; held in the spring; provide supervision and assistance to students.

STARR Assistance – Provide necessary support during testing times.

Monthly PTO Meetings   PTO meetings will be individually scheduled and held at Butterfield, Clear Creek, Chisholm Trail and 6th Grade Campus. Check back for more information and meeting schedules.
