Adaptive Behavior Program
The Adaptive Behavior Program serves students with severe cognitive and/or communicative functioning deficiencies, and/or autism who have not been successful in special programs at their regular campus. These students typically display serious behavioral/emotional problems in addition to their low cognitive, communicative, and/or autistic characteristics.
We work with these students on individualized programs that meet their needs in the areas of daily living, functional academics, reading, writing, math, real world science and social studies, etc. Our goal with these students is to assist them in developing the behavioral, emotional, and academic skills needed to successfully reintegrate back into programs at their home school campuses. There are typically about 2 students in this classroom with 1 teacher and 2 paraprofessionals.
