Students learned about and explored different cultures, traditions, and facts about each country they studied. First, they took a look at the world and then the United States specifically. They discussed where we are on the globe and recognized the difference between states, countries, and continents. Then they learned about Mexico. They learned about serapes and students enjoyed getting to make their very own. The next stop was China and they made Chinese lanterns. Finally, they wrapped up their learning with Kenya and students made a fast fact sheet detailing everything from the country's currency to the tallest mountain. Students had a blast and enjoyed learning about different parts of the world!
