Educational Diagnostician
 
Beginning Date:    August 2017
 
Job Description:
1.  Demonstrate skills in area of assessment and management of eligibility folders
     A.  Select appropriate assessment instruments for each student
     B.  Administer test and write comprehensive reports which accurately reflects
           factual data
     C.  Maintain eligibility folders in an accurate, complete, and current manner
     D.  Ensure that all eligibility folders are in the central files and accessible to
           other appropriate personnel who need information from the folders
 
2.  Demonstrate efficient, organized, knowledgeable skills in ARD committee
     meetings.
     A.  Have appropriate forms at the meeting
     B.  Have necessary reports available
     C.  Present information so that it facilitates the decision making process
     D.  Interpret assessment data so that it is easily understood
     E.  Assist ARD committee members in understanding their legal rights and
          responsibilities
 
Salary:   Commensurate with experience
 
Days of Employment:  202 days
 

Qualifications:   Educational Diagnostician Certification or 3 years experience                                       teaching in Special Education and working toward Ed. Diagnostician                             Certification

 History (6-12th)
 

Job Description:  Under the direct supervision of campus administration, provide daily instruction for students in history, grades 6-12.  Position is on self-contained campus for students with emotional/behavioral needs.  

Responsible for

  • Develops and administers education curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
  • Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
  • Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.

Days of Employment:           187 days (Beginning August 2017)

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
VALID Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
VALID Texas Special Education Teacher Certification
 
Knowledge & Skills:    Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate instructional activities for students with learning and/or emotional difficulties.  Skills with group and individual behavioral management and crisis intervention.

Other Information:   The Challenge Program is a Special Education Behavioral Adjustment Campus in Sanger, Texas serving students from various individual independent school districts in the area.
